Lido Island was originally developed in the 1930’s. The islands overall theme resembles the Lido Peninsula near the Italian Waterfront City of Venice. Lido’s various styles of homes range from the ultra contemporary to the truly traditional; however, the majority of properties, with their red tiled roofs and circular Spanish verandas resemble the villas of the Mediterranean. Incorporating authentic Mediterranean style architecture with Venetian infrastructure makes this community very unique. The feeling you get from living here has been described as “pleasantly simple, almost as if you’re on a summer vacation in Europe every day.” (Lido Resident) Approximately 250 of the 870 homes are directly on the water. Many of these bayfront homes possess private docks able to accommodate yachts over 100 feet. Lido’s residents have some of the most impressive boats in Newport Harbor. The other 620 homes are located on the east and west facing interior streets. Some common features of these magnificent homes include lushly landscaped indoor/outdoor courtyards, bay views, charming verandas, and street to strata locations.
Activities abound on Lido Isle. The community offers tennis courts, a large yacht club, a luxurious clubhouse, a pool and spa, a boardwalk around the island, exquisite strata, docks, moorings, lovely bayfront beaches, and exciting parks. The association even sponsors tennis and sailing lessons for children who live on the island. The plethora of activities is the reason many of the residents call Lido Isle their home.
Lido is home to many retirees, young and old families, as well as empty nesters. The Island is perfect for just about anyone who enjoys the active Newport Lifestyle. Show Less...
